However it might interest you to know that the First Amendment only applies to government acts of censorship, not to acts by private citizens. Dear Beth: You are "off" my distribution list. Other than to answer you I won't send you any more e-mails, but the e-mail addresses of members of the SPJ are on its website and are therefore common, readily available knowledge to anyone who knows how to use Google. Get Google to remove them and remove them from your website, then get back to me. I consider "professional journalists" tools of a vast, monolithic propaganda apparatus, the Eiffel Tower of propaganda that makes what Joseph Goebbels did in Nazi Germany look like Tinker Toys. Wouldn't it have been nice if someone had tried to point that out in 1937 or 1938 or 1939? I'm trying, among other things, to point it out. Your grandchildren will thank me. The First Amendment says among other things that there can't be any laws made against free speech and/or a free press. If you think there's a valid law against using Google, sue me.
